I’m all about minimalism and wearability at SKLPT’D. Even though we talk about hair, we love makeup too. The two go hand in hand.

Merit reached out to me and gifted me with the most beautiful set of makeup to try. I was blown away.

My makeup routine is mainly foundation, sometimes concealer, mascara, a lip color and blush. Even when we were in masks, I wore makeup daily. I just love good makeup.

Finding a color and texture that suits me at my age (I’m 38), is a little tough. My skin doesn’t have the same elasticity it used to, so I stay away from cream foundations.

But when I tried the Merit Beauty foundation, I was in awe. I couldn’t believe that a cream foundation would melt into my skin the way it did. I was able to get 2 shades - one to use as a concealer and the other as a foundation. Mixing the two was not an issue at all.

The mascara, blush and lip colors were all to die for. Merit definitely is a minimalist brand and I love that I’m affiliated with them.
